why native apparatus?

native = innate

apparatus = a system within a system

The name of this practice acknowledges that we are our own path to wholeness.

Our individual medicine is native to us, and we have exactly what is needed to do the work.

The use of the word “native” does not necessarily refer to any particular lineage or culture. However, I believe it is important to acknowledge the origins of a practice and it can be very powerful to connect to one’s own ancestral traditions.

offerings

As most practitioners, I started on this path with the intention to cultivate a better understanding of myself, of course this is a life long journey. As I learn and grow, my intention is to be of service through my personal life and through session work, trainings, and events.

energy work

Energy healing traditions and working with nature beings are ancient practices and exist in some form, in every indigenous culture. In our modern world, we still have the ability to connect with these practices - it is a matter of self-cultivation.

sound

Sound is energy, as is everything. The transformational and transportative power of sound is something most people have experienced and understand. It is an honor to be able to create sound experiences for others to encourage rest and inward reflection. I use a combination of crystal alchemy bowls, gong, percussion, and/or elemental chimes in my sound offerings - sometimes I use my voice.

tea

I am a student of the leaf. I say without hyperbole: the practice of tea ceremony has changed my life. I’m grateful to receive and share the gift of her medicine with others.

yoga

I received my 200-hour teaching certification in Vinyasa yoga. Through yoga I learned as an able-bodied person, I was not living an embodied life. Then came the realization that most people go through life this way. I use what I learned about the body, breath, and movement in my 1:1 and group offerings.

On the other side of movement is rest. I also received my certification as a Yoga Nidra teacher. Yoga Nidra is commonly referred to as “yogic sleep.” Nidra is a state of being, which is not actually sleep, but deep, deep rest with the intent to connect to the limitless light of self. In the space of Nidra lies the place of possiblity.
