Hello friends, Happy New Year! Are we still saying that? During recent public offerings, I’ve talked about how, in general and especially in the transitory time of January which is named for Janus the god of transitions, beginnings/endings, and doorways - we are so eager to move-on to the next thing. For me, 2022 seems a distant memory and we are only halfway through the month! However the year is still “new” and this weekend we transition into a new Lunar Year. A meditation prompt I’ve offered is a buddhist term: “Ichi-go ichi-e” which translates to "one time, one meeting” or “one chance, one encounter.” It is a phrase I learned in my tea studies and ponder often in my morning meditations. I describe it to others as follows:
