Two of Swords from the Pagan Otherworld deck

My intention with this space is joy and mindfulness. These are two things I’d like to cultivate more of.

Recently, a few readers (astrological, numerological, and cartomancy) have asked if writing was something I did and if not then why not?

When I first started at university, I was an English major. Literature and writing was something I loved in high school, but in college fear started to creep in. What would I do with an English major? I didn’t think I was good enough to write and I couldn’t see myself as a teacher.

It’s funny how life unfolds. In my journey of healing, I’ve studied multiple modalities to the level of “teacher." Of course, I’m still and always will be a student in my heart, body, and mind. “Teacher” and “writing” - two words met with hesitation by my younger self return to me like an unavoidable fate. This reminds me of the Tarot card Two of Swords.

One way to read this card: there are two paths before us. One is direct. The other is meandering. Whichever path you take, eventually you end up where you’re supposed to.

Thank you for being here.
